Priced to sell!!

This 1948 Indian Chief is part of a Southern California collection. This was the first Indian Chief acquired in the collection, and it has served faithfully for 17 years. This is an 80-inch powered machine built 500 miles ago by Master Indian mechanic Micah McCloskey.  The bike went under a complete service during the engine rebuild to guaranty road worthiness. This 80 inch beauty was fitted with a 6 volt Cycle Ray generator and an upgrade to a modern 4 speed transmission to ensure a long life at cruising speeds. This bike has new tires and is ready for the road. Paint is a striking Tan color that shows well at all times.

This Indian has a non traditional right hand throttle with left hand shifter.

Clean California Title with current registration. This great machine is a 1948 Indian frame and 1948 Indian engine but not matching number. Titled to the engine number.

MILEAGE: Working odometer shows 26,000 miles with 500 on the rebuild.

PAINT: This is an older restoration repaint in excellent condition. It is well cared for and kept indoors but it is not a trailer queen so there are a few minor road nicks.

SHEET METAL: Original Indian sheet metal in great fit. No dings or dents noted other than minor road marks.

CHROME: All chrome bright and shiny.

MECHANICAL: This machine has performed well over the years.  It recently underwent a power plant rebuild by Master Indian Mechanic Micah McCloskey with an upgrade to 80 inch and a modern 4 speed transmission. electrified by an up-graded CycleRay 6 volt generator. This is an easy starter and has a great power band.

WHEELS & TIRES: Chrome Indian rims with chrome spokes and nipples.  spokes and nipples.

Front tire is 16 X 500
